The Moving Average of Oscillator (OsMA) is a technical trading indicator that generally shows the difference between an oscillator and its smoothing. In this specific case, the oscillator is the main line of the MACD indicator, while the smoothing is the signal line of the same indicator.
It is a standard indicator in the MetaTrader trading terminal.

Trading Signals from the OsMA Indicator
Two signals are mainly used for trading on exchanges with the OsMA oscillator:
- Change in the indicator’s trend – increase turns into a decrease and vice versa.
- Divergence or discrepancy between the OsMA indicator and the price chart.
Formula for Calculating the OsMA Indicator
OSMA = MACD – SIGNAL,
where:
– MACD – readings of the main line of the MACD indicator;
– SIGNAL – the signal line of the MACD indicator.
Signal Advisor
A signal is generated by the signal advisor when the OsMA indicator crosses the zero line upwards or downwards.
Two functions are implemented:

- Signal to email
- Signal in the terminal
When the first function (SignalSendMail) is activated, the signal advisor will send a signal via email or SMS if the indicator crosses the zero level. It is necessary to configure the email settings in the terminal beforehand.

When the second function (SignalSendAlert) is activated, the signal advisor will send a signal to the terminal if the indicator crosses the zero level.
