The Forex Indicator Channels for the MT4 platform is an effective attempt to automatically build adaptive channels in real-time. This filter requires a trading history of at least 400 bars for each time frame. If this data is not available, Channels will indicate that historical data is missing, but switching between time frames can restart the indicator.
Settings of the Forex Indicator Channels
- Start – the number of the current chart bar from which data analysis begins; 0 means starting from the current bar.
- BarAnaliz – the number of bars for analysis in each time frame up to Daily. Not more than 2000.
- k_shirina – channel width coefficient.
- tochnost – model accuracy: 1 – no accuracy, if the value equals the BarAnaliz parameter, maximum accuracy is achieved. The higher the accuracy, the slower the indicator runs.
- filtr – filter for depth in forming a new channel; it is advisable to use the range 0.382-0.618.
- MinShirina – minimum channel width in points – channels with smaller widths are not formed.
- MaxShirina – maximum average weighted channel width in points – channels with larger widths are not formed.
- luch – channel continuation flag: true – ray, false – segment.
- maxmin – flag: whether to build the channel considering extreme extremums: true – yes, in this case, to have the channel pass through extreme extremums, the k_shirina coefficient should be large, for example 100; false – no, in this case, the upper and lower bounds of the channel are equally distant from the central axis (center of mass).
- color_fill – channel filling flag (true, false).
